When Last We Left Our Favorite Globe-Trotting Archaeologist...
...(this cover by penciler Bob Budiansky and inker Bill Sienkiewicz doesn't occur until the end of the issue)
Indy agrees to aid Elizabeth Cody, grand-daughter of the legendary Old West hero "Buffalo Bill" Cody, to recover a pair of Buffalo Bill's revolvers stolen by a Russian, Count Alexander Salkovich...after the US State Department asks Jones to use the search as a cover to do a little "unofficial" spying for them!
Once in the Ukraine (at that point, part of the Soviet Union) they encounter a group of Cossacks led by Peter Rostoff who are willing to aid them in the pistols' recovery...provided they all can avoid capture by the Soviet Army, whose last encounter with Indy years earlier hadn't gone well...
